The Album Review Club - Week #149 - (page 1963) - Every Picture Tells A Story - Rod Stewart

I love the Album nominations but really enjoyed this more

If i had to pick i'd go with this format. would struggle to do both.

also not forgetting Top 1100

... and the Cup! (Get your nominations in)

What is this Cup you speak of?

Bloody awful Stravinsky. Not my cup of tea at all.

One of the first albums I bought, that was wasn't just going down to Woolies for what I heard on the radio, was Tomita's version of Stravinsky's Firebird Suite reimagined for computer and early synthesisers.

Your idea of hell I imagine!

No, I have a few of Tomita’s albums. In fact I bought one of the early vinyl copies of his Planets before the Holst family tried to make him withdraw it for not getting permission. I also have stuff by Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre
I just find Stravinsky’s atonal discord painful.

I see some have said that they prefer the playlist format. or would like it more often, whilst others would prefer to keep the album thread as it is.

Whilst I generally like to keep people happy, I will point out that this is the Album Review thread, and we should be nominating and reviewing albums most of the time. Unless everybody goes on strike in protest, I'll be keeping the current format with the playlist/guessing game in between each round.

@KnaresboroughBlue - I've noted your comment so I'll take you out of the nominators list for now, but you are welcome to rejoin at any time. Thanks for your contributions so far.

Surely got me and Fog round the wrong way

Wait...what? M.I.A...how???
Nobody was going to pick that song with a straight face, so it had to be somebody with a sense of humour.

And you have form for being the Master of Clarkies ("ZZ Top - never heard that one, it's a good song that!")
