He does everything wrong as an opener. If he plays again it might be worth giving him at shot at no.6 or something but we're loaded in those areas.

As someone else has already said, he had a job reaching it, so wide was it. Why the fuck did he feel the need to play it? It's not a T20 slogfest, it's barely two thirds into the first day of a five day test match. What was the rush?

because it's the way he plays he goes after balls he's an attacking player, but he should be bright enough to take the situation of the game and think I'm not going after anything that's wide! at the moment he doesn't know what to do be the attacking batsman he was actually brought in to be or just sit in...

I thought it was funny when they brought Hazlewood on and Pointing said "I like this change" - 3 balls into the over and Bell had taken him for 3 fours!
