now, of course we need one. We might even need 2. But tell me, what if the 4 attackers that we used against Burnley (2 wide in AJ and Bellers, 2 strikers in Tevez and Ade) really click these last 6 games. Of course we'll go on and on about how its a squad game, but what if you bought a CM in the mold of Gerrard or Hamsik, how would you line them up?

---Defensive Mid---
Winger (AJ)--Creative Mid--Winger (Bellamy)
---Tevez---Ade----

would that be too light-weight in your mind? Because of the 2 basic formations that RM has really played this year, I prefer having wide players on both sides than stacking the midfield with 3 central mids.

on our team now, we have De Jong and Barry to play the d-mid role. If Barry is in that role, I don't know if he's the absolute defensive mid. De Jong can break up play well and sit but I don't know if his distribution is good enough. Would Yaya be the perfect d-mid for this kind of lineup?

With all these guys fit and in form, the 4-2-4 we've used (or 4-2-2-2, if you like) is good with the squad we've got. You don't want anything but rather defensive minded mids there who make the occasional intelligent spurt forwards.

But I think it's not good to stick with one formation only..I mean, there are games, as there have been, where we need to readjust as things go along and for that, there is definitely a lack in the attacking mids side. I mean, unless Ireland & Johnson rediscover their form and fitness..

I dont think a big name is necessary though, as it is not a position we should build our side around necessarily. I think Mancini has proven with his few signings so far he has sight for underrated talent, and that's what I'd like to see in that position.

Defensive Mid or Central midfielder: Barry.

Creative Mid or Attacking midfielder: Any good on the market.

I'm just a decent armchair manager, but i think it would work.

Play Tevez in behind Adebayor - solves half the problem

Barry is good enough for the highest level. And i think a more attacking center mid who can still put in a tackle and put in a shift ala Gerrard would work well.

It would be fine, look at barca they don't have any real big physical midfielders but they all run their bollocks off. We should really look to get De Rossi, he is brilliant for Roma and Italy and he is a real grafter but with lots of quality aswell. Him and Barry would be real top class in central midfield. We should look to buy Di Maria or Juan Mata for the left wing aswell, Bellers won't be able to play every game and Petrov and SWP aren't up to scratch as a replacement.
