I will probably get slagged to hell for this but I am entitled to my opinion.
Mark Hughes is a man who I would love to succeed at City, as fed up and as bad as we were yesterday I really want to give him an opportunity. We have had previous managers who have, again in my opinion not been up to the standard I want from a club that I unfortunately do not get paid by and who I cannot walk away from. Sven most def. was one of those, for any manager to have a team on the pitch that gets beaten 8-1 is nothing short of disgusting and shows a lack of pride in himself and the club, he had to go.
Anyways, my big point here is that when Mr Ferguson went to the evil empire I think we all wanted him to fail as we knew he was a good manager but even though the first team were not doing it he made changes to the background of the club which has since helped breed success. I am not a United lover, I don`t hate them either I want City to be good and for them to worry about us, as we always do about them.
Ferguson went straight in and changed the drinking culture which was huge over there and then the second thing he did was ensure the reserves stayed in the top division to enable players to be playing at the highest standard they could without being in the firsts.
My question is can we see any off the field progress or is this going on extremely quietly., my biggest problem at the moment is everything we seem to be doing is reactive instead of pro-active and I understand that things take time to put into place but just signs of this progress would help a large number of fans who support the team through everything.
Sorry for going on everyone but I am a loyal, a far away loyal now but a loyal. I sometimes prefer watching the lads train to see the real group and see how they perform regularly you can see the desire to do well on a training pitch as much as on a Sturday.
For example people who train and work hard like Ireland, Kompany, are getting the just rewards for their efforts.
