Alright Blues!

This Thursday the Ashton Branch's Big City Quiz returns, but this time we’re paying homage to boys of 99’ in The Big 99’ Quiz which is going to be hosted by David Mooney

Celebrating 15 years since the Division Two Play-Off Final at Wembley and the launch of David’s new book ‘Looks Like Scunny Next Year’.

8pm, Thursday 29th May at The Alexander, 1 Dean Street, Ashton-u-Lyne,
OL6 7DY

£50 a table (10 people, £5 a head) with curry supper. You don't have to enter a team of 10, but 10 is the max.

Half of what is made to go to The Christie, and the other half to the winning team.

Runners up to receive a free copy of David’s book.

To secure a table email Sam with your team name social@mcsc-aul.co.uk

It promises to be another great City quiz night and all for a great cause!

Any chance of having the questions beforehand, just to see if there's any point of me entering...

If only 2 of us wanted to come down would that be ok ? We will be coming from Wythenshawe so please let me know asap

Of course that's fine! The maximum number to a team is 10 (just because the tables in the function room we're using are massive). I'm sure that we can squeeze you into another team if you don't want to have one of your own with just to two of you.

To get you in the mood......

What year was the 99 play off final?
Who scored the equaliser for City?
Where was the game played?
Who saved the crucial spot kick to win the match for City?
Who was City's manager that day?

You can get the train from Salford crescent to Ashton-u-Lyne via Victoria (The Alexander is 3 minutes walk from the AUL station)

Haha :)

I'm not taking part in the quiz just organising it, soooooo I've seen the quiz, it's 5 rounds and it's great! Once again David Mooney has done a great job with the quiz! It's not to be missed!
