As a Bowie fan since his early days, his rendition of Heroes at Live Aid is one of my favourite Bowie performances; and I’d argue one of his greatest.

I think it's a great performance. People talk about Live Aid resurrecting Queen's career and whilst Bowie's career was far from needing a shot in the arm at that time, his turn didn't do him any harm. I do think it's one of those songs that has post LiveAid become overly anthemic (if such a thing is possible) and I'm not a big fan of songs being ripped out of context for the purposes of flogging stuff.

And like many others for the same reason - that performance at Live Aid

Not even in my top 50 Bowie Songs but still the better of the two IMO to go through.

I was never a huge fan of his Berlin period.
