I like Steve Miller a lot but there’s quite a lot of SM songs I like more than that one, good as it is.

I like Floyd plenty too and I like SOYCD more than any other Floyd track. Absolutely magnificent song.

Well, I love them both but given the lean in the direction of Pink Floyd I felt it only right to vote “Serenade” to even out the score a little. And to those who say it isn’t one of his best, I think it actually is.

But so worth repeating. Floyd's masterpiece. It really is hard to beat the sheer majesty of this epic. Whilst it might not be one for those with zero attention span, the way it builds and transitions is a pure joy.

It’s always sounded like elevator muzak to me.

I think it is one of his best but he has a load of very good songs and quite a few that I prefer.
