The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 - Quater-Final league table - Semi Final awaits.

Late in the game but have a request for @BlueHammer85.

When we are down to 10 songs, we take the bottom three vote getters in a "Good, Bad and Ugly" three-way showdown. The winner moves on, getting us to one song to go with the top 7, and then we go 8 to 4 to 2 to winner.

That way one song doesn't get dropped (under the current plan, the number 5 finisher) without having at least lost a battle.

Thoughts?

I like that idea.

Should always have a preliminary round to reduce the number of songs to 128 on the first pass. BlueHammer runs a superb competition but this is the one thing that’s niggled me both times.

I think he secretly enjoys the meltdown when a song that’s come so far goes out without kicking a ball.

So yes, I think your idea is good.
