...Curtains are pulled wide and the morning sunshine bursts in through your window, casting a warming beam of light all over your dusty collection of CD’s and vinyl – summer is here! Time to reach for a C90 and lovingly craft the collection of tunes that are going to soundtrack your afternoon’s in the park, road trips to the beach, drunken dusk BBQ’s, impromptu nights on the town, and all points in between!

So let’s have the tracks that you run to as soon as the sun comes out to play, what encapsulate the summer mood for our Bluemooners (and why if you so wish)? Only one track per post though please, so choose wisely!

It might be a depressing song to many, but it reminds of lying in a field, beer in one hand and a smoke in the other, surrounded by friends, sun streaming through the trees while watching loads of my mates kids leaping around in a stream. I have no idea why as there was no music playing at the time. It was a lovely peaceful moment.

Jazzy Jeff and Supergrass are both definitely classic songs for summer. Not heard either in ages!
