The Boss Has Spoken.

I think the position the club has stated is fair and pretty astute. It gives the manager a reasonable amount of time, including a full Summer transfer window, to prove he is the man for the job. That doesn't necessarily mean winning anything next year, but showing us to be moving in the right direction. If he succeeds, then great, we carry on and see where he can take us. If not, there'll be one or two decent managerial targets around as potential replacements, particularly after the World Cup (Capello and Hiddink to name but two).

Why does a public statement about our expectations next season make MH any more deserving of our support. He had targets this year and I'm sure has failed to meet them.

If he want's my support he will have to earn it by managing the team. Not by statements from the chairman.

How our club as got anything to do with Bruce Springstein I'll never know.

Should just keep his nose out, intefering bastard.

I think the issue is that as the manager of MCFC he always deserves our support even if we don't agree with his tactics or believe he is performing. The Khaldoon statement means we can now stop arguing and focus on getting behind the manager and the team.

I wanted Mark Huges out. (only being honest) Like those others wanting him out I had my reasons. Now I'm happy for him to stay. Why. His boss has told him only a top six finish will do. Hughes and we now know what is expected from him. We also know if that isn't achieved or if it isn't going to be achieved through the course of next season(similar to this), then Hughes will be sacked. If he achieves it fair enough. I will be happy. Why. Because I can see progress. Good luck Mark, I hope you prove me wrong and the boss man right.
Owners out then i take it ????, if they don't sack him.

Capello would be a fantastic choice.Has won trophys everywhere he's been. When the world cup hype goes into overdrive next summer and the overrated England team get knocked out in the 1/4 finals, then I would guess Capello will be sacked.

theres a decent article on news now, (guardian i think) saying thats bollocks only top 4 will do. why take another year to do what everton and villa have easily done already. they will spend big, no matter what theyre saying, and will want champs lg. hughes has already said europa doesnt hold any sway with players so why have another year trying to get it. doesnt make sence!
