Did you say this is your first fight. Always worth watching the undercard, some decent scraps. The arena dosn't fill up till later on, we sit as close as we can to the ring then move later. You can take your beer in but they moan if you spark a spliff up.Be a top night mate especially after a City win. As others have said keep football colours at football.
I wouldn't recommend wearing a City top at a Josh Warrington fight in Leeds for example, but seen as a blue is topping the bill in a home town event straight after our game, i don't see a problem tbh and i think a few blues will make it a all dayer, so there will be a few City tops dotted about imo.I'm going to the boxing straight after City on Saturday. I recently watched a good programme on BBC iplayer about weight cutting in MMA. I have always believed weight cutting is wrong and the authorities should try and sort it. Not only is it dangerous for the guy cutting the weight,it's dangerous for the other guy as come fight night he may be 15lbs+ heavier than him after rehydrationNot making weight is a joke for a professional fighter these guys more so than am guys who naturally will out grow there weight. These guys get paid huge money and Smith being a former World Champion should know. I think its a case of either Smith has had the worst training camp or he is drained at the weight now. I feel that if he is drained and is finding it hard to make the weight then move up in weight. I also think that a porportion of his fight fee should go to Liam Williams as he is now fighting the much bigger man now after he made the weight.
That's was a tough way to lose after boxing well. Smith looked like he was getting on top so he might have won anyway but that wasn't a way to do it and Williams is a very tidy boxer, would like to see them go again.

Some cracking fights last night at the Arena. The boxing wasn't too bad either.
Was in 106 amongst a sizeable contingent of Welsh fans so was bang in the thick of it when they and the scousers went toe-to-toe. Was booting off all over the place - went off on the floor first and spread to other areas. The police cleared the best part of a full block and then some bloke got sparked out on the concourse. And much later on in the latter part of the Flanagan fight when I assumed all the Welsh and dippers had long since fucked off, it went off again in the far corner with stewards legging it over there from all corners of the arena.
