It just seems that over the last 5-10 years we have completely dropped this song. The song itself sends a tingle down my spine and makes me proud to be a blue.

Instead of some of the crap we play at eastlands why can't they play this before the teams come out? Everyone would join in and it would get the atmosphere going.

Played at the end of the game quite often for those who care to stay 'til the end of the game.

Can't recall it being played last season i.e. since we won the title.

Maybe in another generation, when other lads have come to take our place,
they'll carry on the glory of the City
keeping City in first place.

Job partly done, of sorts, perhaps the club want to draw a line under it, this is 'another generation' written about in the song.

Anyway, Funky City, the B-side has better potential for a remake with all the blue musicians having a huge party jam. Here's a photo montage that I did after the 1-6, Funky City is the soundtrack.

Well I certainly miss the boys in blue. I think if it was part of the pre match routine it would get everyone singing along. You see it with Leeds when they sing marching on together. I have always loved singing the boys in blue.

as for boys in blue got on me phone and still sing it, played last year in the ground I'm sure I heard it, if the club drop it then thats shameful

Dropped the season before last if I remember correctly? Maybe not modern and hip enough for the new City ;). I miss it though, it's a song that is part of the club's fabric.

That "funka-seddair" shit on the B-side is probably the worst song I've ever heard.
