In my van, out of the rat race
Recently reformed and will be gigging at The Ruby Lounge on 5th July.
Apparently the set will be all the old classics like. Brian Rix, Teenage, Delilah Sands, Why does she have to go out with him when she could go out with me (Davey Woodward's attempt at the longest title for a single).
They have been playing a few gigs over recent weeks, Bristol, Germany and Spain and had to turn down a festival in USA for certain reasons.
Tickets will be on sale soon, there is a capacity of around 300 so keep your eyes out.

Big fan here, as is Lancet Fluke
We both went to see Davey play a solo set at Ramsbottom cricket club in 2010.
Saw the Corners at the Boardwalk must have been 5 times and at the Hacienda with The Railway Children too.

One of the group sadly died of cancer a few years back.

My boss arranged that gig at the cricket club, he's involved in putting the one on in July and has just come back from Madrid with them.
I spent a few gigs at the Boardwalk watching the corners and saw them in Sheffield at the Windmill. Great bunch of lads and some really catchy tunes

Is the bloke with the trumpet back too? Remember he had left the band towards the end.
It seemed like they were at the Boardwalk once a month at one time. Would love to be at the Ruby Lounge.
Get your boss to get them over to Boston!

It is pretty much the original line up (apart from the sadly obvious).
They should have been in New York but the cost of flights made it a bit difficult for some of them.
If they get flights included I'm sure Boston will be a goer :)
We must have been there at the same gigs, spooky!

I would travel to NY to see them, please let me know! Just joined their facebook age so should get a tip off from there.
First saw them do Brian Rix on the Tube and noted they played a week later at the Boardwalk. Kept seeing Lancet Fluke there, with his huge extended Morrissey quiff and his brother had one too!
Then ended up in the queue outside the Hacienda behind him and got talking to him. Crazy we were both Blues and both lived in Sale too! They were in their own band ''Magdelene Walks'' and I went to see them in some Sunday evening Boardwalk Battle of the Bands competition - they got to the final! I lived in the Boardwalk back then!
Note they are playing Brum and London too.

I was a Sale lad in those days, used to go to the boardwalk with my pal Pete every week, and we had a band that played there half a dozen times. Great days. Did you ever see Magdalen Walks?
September '91 we were supported by Oasis in there first gig at the boardwalk
Just read your post again Feck me!

WOW!!!!!!
You played the Morrissey convention too, but I missed that, was away.
Didn't realize you were still going in 91. I was in Oz then. Same singer? Seem to recall a bit of an issue with him late 80's??
