The Club replace flags stolen in Lisbon

Man City make flag gesture after Sporting trouble in Lisbon - Manchester Evening News


What a brilliant gesture from our wonderful club

Ours was stolen in Lisbon from outside a bar by a gang of Sporting ultras in Balaclavas who ran past and nicked it off the top of my bag as we waited for our digs to open. They were then paraded upside down in some Ultra bar as some sort of victory. They ran up the road and chanted Sporting, then disappeared into a dodgy looking estate. We just another beer in.

Thanks to Kev Parker for speaking to the club and to Matt in the comms team for sorting out replacements. It was also a nice touch to have Paul Dickov present us with our replacement flags.

Our club doesnt get everything right, but on this they have been superb and I am proud of being Blue.

We seem to be getting a few good recent examples of the Supporters Club and 1894 working with City including this and the Ukraine flags at the Derby.
