Good to see they got off, the statue should’ve been taken down many years ago.
Liar Johnson wants to hire you as his solicitor when he makes his statement to the Met about bringing down statutes in his garden..... Pretty much every regulatory offence has a due diligence defence.... In addition most offences have common law defences that are also available to defendants such as necessity and duress.
So just because someone plainly seems to have committed the act, does not necessarily mean they are guilty of the offence in law.

You have clearly never lived in bristol or indeed know how the people feel there , yes i have lived there , it was years of asking the council to remove it , it had to go another wayI have no issue with the statue going, my issue was the manner in which it was done.
