I think he's a divisive figure only because he was demonised by the Brexiteers as a Remainer working to overturn Brexit whereas he was simply doing his best to make sure that the government did not break the law, which they tried to do on numerous occasions.

Yep. Dido Harding, the woman who has earned a very nice living from being well connected but utterly useless in every well paid position she has ever held.

As for Mat Hancock and his illegally awarded PPE contracts, there is a paper trail a mile long implicating him and other ministers in direct breach of the ministerial code.

Wasn't it also reported that pension and benefit increases are pegged at the CPI figure as of last Sept, which was 3.5%, despite pressure not to.

Probably because there’s CPI, CPI-H, RPI and possibly core inflation if it’s not covered by the other three.
