IIRC the last time the working classes were in unison and turned against the tories was just after the care homes fiasco and the handling of the first lockdown.

The media was suddenly outraged about BLM and statues being graffitied. Then everyone starting arguing amongst themselves as to the rights and wrongs of such actions and low and behold, the tories had deflected the spotlight from their shortcomings and they faded from public scrutiny.

Wonder what ‘lefty woke’ agenda will be raised this time to get us all arguing amongst ourselves, in order to take the heat off them for this latest debacle?

I desperately want to agree with you, but have lived through so much electoral disappointment that it wouldn't surprise me if they somehow claw it back.

As a side note, whilst that map would be fantastic, I'd actually love to see the Lib Dems do really well to force Labour's hand on electoral reform. Without it, I can imagine 5 years of Labour and then back to another stint of being fucked over by the Tories.

The very publication of the impact of that level of polling will cause a number of people to take fright and think about giving them another chance with a new leader. Whilst these numbers would mean we would even get rid of the bewigged twat who has been stinking out my own constituency for years, I would give that up if we could instead have electoral reform that stopped unrepresentative shitshows damaging the country in the future.
