Have the moderates in the Tory party appointed Hunt over the head of truss to effectively neuter the right-wing nut jobs and the ERG?
I don’t believe for one second that truss wanted hunt, but was forced to accept him under threat of ignominious removal from her job.
The moderates on the back benches and I suspect the grandees and the 1922 committee have called the right’s bluff here and said ’you‘ve got your puppet in place at the top, but we have removed her power to act’, resulting in a paralysis of power.
What a way to run a party, never mind a country.
