Can anyone see a general election actually happening any time soon?
Obviously it'd be suicidal to call one.
The only way to force one is to bring a vote of no confidence which means 72 conservatives would have to vote with Labour & everyone else.
So I guess a lot will depend on who the next leader is and how divisive they are within the party.
If they pick Braverman or Patel? I can see it. If they pick Wallace they'll probably just go into damage limitation mode and try to survive 2 years without controversy.

No, sadly. The Conservative Party are all about self-preservation rather than the greater national good, and turkeys don’t vote for Christmas. We’re stuck with these clowns until 24/25 unfortunately.Can anyone see a general election actually happening any time soon?
