yeah - it seems to me that the Tories were happy to lose some or break up areas and make new councils and hope that nobody noticed the previous Tory administration than did the damage so they can whinge about the new Labour or Lib Dem incumbents causing a problem they will actually have inherited. Greg hands is still tweeting on about Labour's note about no money - they really have run out of ideas

Local authority 'spending power' – the amount of money authorities have to spend from government grants, council tax and business rates – fell by 17.5% between 2009/10 and 2019/20, before partially recovering. However, in 2021/22 it was still 10.2% below 2009/10 levels.

10% below 2009/10 levels with a escalating massive annual hike in costs for Social Care etc. What could possibly go wrong?

70 years ago they were promising to repatriate immigrants ....and still they cant do it. Totally useless at everything they do apart from marginalising others .

They've bought this once great country to its knees and have failed to deliver on every promise they've ever made.
