Sunak wasn't elected by the membership, they voted for the cabbage instead of him and the second leadership contest was fixed (by raising the threshold) so it wouldn't go back to the membership to elect the Eton Mess again.

Tories were devoid of talent before this election. Boris Johnson had a zero tolerance approach to highly intelligent and knowledgeable MPs in his own government. He wanted brexit zealots and that was in 2019.

I've said before but Sunak is one of the few capable people they have. Hunt is another. Its utter dross once you scratch the surface.

Talking of flags I'll nail my colours to the mast - Braverman is a whopping ****. If they were mad enough to make her leader her ideology would alienate such a large sector of the public she would kill them off forever so weirdly I wouldn't mind because Labour would easily beat Reform Ltd with their fake candidates. A coalition between the two - anti-LBGTQ+ Cons and a fake Company that is anti-EU would possibly mean a gap would be created for some sensible centre right Party
