it could be because there may be some sincerity behind the promise. Look at the Brexit promises made and abandoned so far like those to fishing by this lot and see how they have been abandoned and how worried the new Blue Wall MP's really are. Don't bother with the BBC or SKY btw oddly they aren't reporting it but even more oddly the new big critics are the Mail, Express, Telegraph and Times.

I doubt it - the press where none of them get their info they tell us and the MSM that none of them watch will persuade them that any Labour leader is the Devils Child.....they will believe that rather than the evidence of their own eyes

I was being sarky of course - but yep he's a bellend - you missed off the airport in the Thames estuary - the bridge across a dangerous ammo dump and so on. He is a dreamer as is becoming all too clear to those around him - grand plans and schemes means he can take himself out of the real world which is all to fractious for him and into an imaginary world where a thankful population travel on his bridge to his airport via his submarine roundabout.
He is unlikely to even get a train to run on time to be honest - he certainly won't get HS2 past Brum...... levelling up is just another of his pipe dreams.

The problem with it though for the Tories is it exposes the austerity myth. All of a sudden we have a land of magic money trees and the economy of the country no longer runs like Mrs Miggins pie shop.
The snake oil salesman will find a way of lying about it though and in the end levelling up will mean new set of traffic lights on Wilmslow Road and an extra train a week between New Mills and Buxton.

Not forgetting the £tn train service to London, the £tn new crossrail service for....yes you guessed - London. Sounds level to me.

??? I am at a loss. Hairdressers will not open until the evidence says it is safe to do so - I am OK with that but where is the evidence to say that ALL schools can open on 8 March? I am all for getting schools open and children learning but it sounds like we are winging it.
