The Conservative Party

before legalising fox-hunting? Or repealing the ban on child labour. Or selling the NHS. Or overstuffing the lords with "compliant" puppets/friends of johnson. Charitable status for all dwellings over a million, dukedom for dacre and murdoch, low pay unit to be disbanded retroactively, repeal of the "pavement and park bench" benefit. Minimum wage for everyone over ninety, no-one else. Pension age rise to 91, Universal Credit deemed far too generous, qualifying time to be two years, ( IDS furious), death certificates to be issued by ATOS, unfair dismissal tribunals outsourced to the CBI, euthanasia "to be looked at", by a group headed by michael gove....price of possible exception etc. The details of the tax haven status of london are already cut and dried, and will be nodded through when hard brexit is achieved.
Defo before all of that ha

They get paid enough and expenses for 2 homes, they should do it for the love of it like everyone else does

It’s incredibly hard to turn down a role paying millions to be universally hated whilst trying to do the right thing on £80k.

These people need to be the best and therefore they should be paid well.

I think you understate the real problems:-)

Anyhow unfortunately we have a terrible votIng system, the majority of the voters are to the left of the Tory party but they have a sizeable majority. So well done all who voted for a party not campaigning for a change to our voting system. Throw in Jezza and labour pushing people to them.

You will all have to suck it up.
I was amongst the 33% of the 42% who could be arsed to show up in the forgotten referendum of the last decade so you're not pinning that on me.

I’m not pinning anything on you unless you voted Tory or Labour. Strangely enough the big 2 aided by the Dems who may or may not have had a choice messed up the PR referendum. But it was what it was. If people voted for a winner takes all party then they need to accept the consequences.

I accepted the consequences at the time of the referendum obviously people knew what they weren't voting for :)

It seems strikingly inept to release the news on the day the State Department criticised the CPS for bringing criminal proceedings against an American woman who killed a British man in England by driving on the wrong side of the road.
