I wonder what he thinks of Police personnel wearing a velcroed on patch Union Flag in b/w with a blue line across it ( defacing the union flag ) in contravention of the advice issued by the Met to all Police Forces not to wear them? Is that patriotic too?
 
Someone interviewed, again, the other day saying that they were an ex Labour voter but wouldn’t vote for them again because they hadn’t done anything for them!! Still no idea on who has been in power for the last 13 years.

The other one that gets me is the ‘ isn’t it wonderful - look since the Nasty Party came into power we have all these food banks giving out free food’. I wonder why?

Labour leading calls for a ‘Robin Hood’ tax on energy firms. Can’t blame them. Energy firms are making a killing. All these people who were customers of poorly run energy firms going bust have been pushed into the bigger firms and they have gone onto the max tariff they can get away with. Make no bones about it that these large energy firms are making huge profits from this. Yes gas has gone up a lot and gas is used to generate electricity but they are still making large profits from the government ceiling for tariffs. Our son works for one of the largest and he sees every day the effects on their business. Making ‘loads a money’.
 
Am I the only one blatantly amazed that the Tories are still in power? This has to be the most corrupt Western European government I can ever remember. Where is people's intelligence? Where are their balls? If this was France they would be losing their shit whilst our population is as docile as it is ignorant.

From punting off the NHS, dodgy contracts, sleaze, mismanagement, consistently lying PM...its never ending. And we allow it to get worse and worse.

Seems the country is full of people who think that if they are doing OK then fuck everyone else. They knowingly turn a blind eye to what they voted in. Fuck the NHS, fuck the police, fuck education, welfare, compassion. As long as London is comfortable, that's what matters.

The sheer level of press control to me feels like we are entering an Orwellian era. Obviously the money from oil, American pharma and arms dealers is making its way nicely into their bank accounts.

With all that going on, I don't see how anyone could vote Tory. They are absolute scum. Surely your conscious kicks in at some point? Is money all that people really give a shit about now? All those WW2 soldiers that returned from hell and built the amazing NHS are having their legacy shat on by disconnected, selfish working class thinking they are big time. Funny how they are the first to complain however.

Gove on TV this morning stating that building companies who installed cladding on high rise buildings compliant with the rules that the Tories issued are responsible for the removal of the same cladding because it doesn't comply

Blaming others for the problem that they created again (and failed to act on for two years after the Lakanel House fire report recommendations )

The main thing the last decade tells us is that people will happily be anally raped by the Govt rather than admit they may have made a mistake at the ballot box - that applies over a series of votes which have seen people fucked over but in denial. Its like that post on Turkey yesterday where a guy was defending the Govt saying that he was wearing a jacket he got out of someone's bin which was proof if someone can throw away such quality clothing the economy can't be in a mess. The response being

"dude - if things are going so well why are you looking for clothing in the bin"

What we are meant to do, stage a coup?

The next election is 2 years away and the only people that can call an early election is Parliament however thanks to the failings of the opposition the government has an 80 seat majority to stop that from happening.

The most fascinating section of brexit voters/supporters is the ones that will knowingly vote for damaging the country and the futures of generations to come, on the back of the notion of ‘giving a bloody nose to the elites’.
They seemingly have an enormous chip on their shoulders about those they perceive as ‘elites’ who as far as I can see are just people who have had a decent education and generally made more of a success of their lives, and annoy some by indulging in such practices as eating avocados, and spending huge sums of money on expensive interior designers and errr….wallpaper…. and having ….errrm…. cheese and wine parties in their large gardens.

Now, the Met says, "We're seeking to resolve situations where people appear to be or are contravening the government advice on physical social distancing and the self-isolation measures without resorting to enforcement and issuing fines. Please only tell us about something if you feel there is a significant issue or serious breach of the restrictions."

But that's now.

There are cases going through the courts now for breaking the rules then.
