The Conservative Party

Johnson's popularity seemed to slowly drip away (he had no reputation to lose).

But Sunak's reputation has plummeted faster than a very fast thing.

Seems only yesterday he had one hand on the keys to No 10.
I'm loving watching him implode. That whole bollocks when he had his face up everywhere with the eat out thing, Dishy Rishi etc. The Conservatives bang on about how brilliant they were during lockdown with the economy, they were fucking dreadful. Johnson had to retract his comments on how we've got more people in jobs now than before the pandemic, and tell the truth, it's the number of people in payrolled positions. And that's because so many self-employed people have gone under. They're desperate for work so they're taking whatever salaried work there is, but it's left a hollow in so many sectors.

And now things are getting dicey, Sunek's being completely exposed for the entitled whiny ego-**** that he is.

He was 1st elected in 2015 - promoted beyond his abilities and experience and it shows. Those self employed who were abandoned by him and are now working in an Amazon warehouse and the like need to remember that in May and at the next GE. The odd thing about the Tories is in their mad obsession with captured Red Wall seats constituents they turned their backs on so many what I would call natural Tory voters - self employed in the Arts - landlords who had to accept no rents and rent freezes ( fine by me ) - even Steve Bakers safe Tory seat having the largest reliance on food banks ( if I were contending that seat it would be the headline on my leaflet ) - if any of those affected support the same Tory mafia that shat on them for 2 years then they got all they deserve.

kin el. think that's a record

There's a whole raft of separate legislation outlawing gay conversion already on the books, all he's doing is condensing it into one piece of legislation and tying a bow round it.

Stonewall will be furious, they were confident they could slip their gender ideology quietly into this bill without anyone noticing, and then they could frighten clinicians into compliance with the threat of criminal sanctions, well that ain't happening, so that's a ray of light in darkness.

And on cue, here's the CEO of Stonewall....

This use of emotional blackmail language is always a red flag.

The interim Cass report (named after Dr Hilary Cass) which informed this legislation came to this conclusion....

This is a very interesting development as Stewart was a moderate centrist and given his remain views was effectively run out of the Tories following Brexit. His thinking and policies more align to someone like Starmer!

I think we'll soon see the Tories move to the centre as we do every single time an election draws closer.

The thing about Steve Baker's constituency and food banks was pretty worrying when I read it. No one should be having to use food banks, but when you've got normally wealthy people in affluent tory constituencies having to use them, that's a massive economic canary in the coal mine. That shows there's something seriously systemically wrong going on.

Rishi getting an easy ride today.

We're being told to eat lentils and were more clothes to save heating whilst that **** is creaming off russian profit dividends to build swimming pools in his mansion.

He's High Wycombe, isn't he? That's been held up as the prime example of the food bank need and awfulness for a year or two.

Yes. When you've got people in affluent areas struggling, you know the economy is truly screwed. No sympathy for any of them who voted tory, but it shows what a mess we're in.

Areas won’t be that dissimilar in terms of expendable income. They’ll just have bigger mortgages to pay.

Two pundits on Adrian chiles on 5live (one from the Torygraph so no surprises) telling us that partygate will soon blow over because tory backbenchers will withdraw letters of no confidence and rally behind blobby because they see him still as an electoral asset at the next GE.
In other words, they are prepared to have this country run by a law breaking liar no matter how much damage it causes to us, so that the Tory party can retain power, and they (back benchers) can keep their cushy jobs awash with loads of donors’, and public, money to heat their swimming pools and stables and sort their driveways and duck ponds
Oy plebs……vote for us then you can go fuck yourselves.

That's the problem though. They are meant to be affluent, but they aren't. They're struggling, which means you've got people struggling in sectors that shouldn't be which points to a serious systemic problem.
