The Conservative Party

Wow on my old fixed rate mortgage I was paying £132 a month in interest in July, today I paid £400 on the variable rate, that’s unreal, there are going to be some people in serious trouble because of these pricks.

There will be people on serious money who will be in an even worse position - most people live in a manner that their income allows - if you can imagine someone with a high income will like as not have a nice home on a big mortgage. If you are facing having to find £270 extra pm some people could be looking at having to find a grand or more each month.

The thing that has baffled me all along since Johnson got made leader they just haven't cared about great swathes of people who one would think of as "natural" Tory voters - it is destined to end one way for them.

they certainly are looking at ways to not pay benefit increases in line with current inflation. When asked the direct question (will benefit increase in line with inflation which is currently 10%), the MP on TV said with the measures announced by Kamikwazi last week, they expect inflation to immediately fall to around 5%, so that is possibly what they will do.

I'm not a violent man, but I would never tire of smacking his face
somebody said earlier that they all should be made to do a days graft on a building site to experience the real world.

I would favour them all having to fill out on line application forms to get a "foot on the jobs ladder" ie stacking shelves and working the tills in a supermarket ( wife and daughter have done it in recent months. They are tough tests and getting a pass only gets you through to the interview stage ) - then we all get to learn their results. I am certain most wouldn't get an interview - certain special cases like 30p Lee, Jake Berry and JRM would give us all a proper laugh with their results

WTF is she on about? Shows their priorities and their views on the Arts - Harry Potter has probably done as much if not more for our economy than construction

When a group of wispy bearded men (and women) meet in a craft bar to discuss the merits of Das Capital for approximately 45 minutes.
A healthy dialectic should ensue. Otherwise known as "Seizing the means of discussion".

Social panic is ridiculous. We've been talking about all these different ideas for over a century. It's helped shape our freedom and rights. All essential parts of history, and thought about ourselves and the world.

Suddenly all that's a massive threat, and everyone is rushing to crush and ban things they don't understand.

Major cringe. I mean, forced diversity statements and so on are no better, a clear cause which reactionaries will lever against progressive causes. But using the government to forcibly shape discussion and thought is exactly the same thing.

Highly incompatible with British values.
