After the last thread was semi deleted and edited thought we'd try again

this was the one that started it about the fed and how it is not owned by the American government

the ultimate conspiracy!

The thing I like about the capitalist conspiracy is when they talk about the whole, "crisis-react" scenario where the government creates and artifical crisis or threat which scares the public which allows them(the government's) to increase their control. Sound familiar?

I'll re-post that im a natural skeptic who tends to disbeleive the conspiracy until watching and reading both sides - and usually finish up as i started.

Loose Change - there's a video out there called "Screw Loose Change" - it's on Google Video, may be on YouTube too. Loose Changed is exposed as over sensationalised rubbish.

Zeitgeist - From the occasionally reliable Wikipedia; "A feature article in The Stranger has stated the film is based solely on anecdotal evidence,[12] while others have criticized it for using unidentified, undated, and unsourced video news clips, voice-overs, quotes, and book citations without page numbers.[13][14][15] In a piece entitled "Internet idiocy: the latest pandemic", an opinion piece in the Arizona Daily Wildcat refers to the film as "internet bullshit", saying that "witty sayings, fear tactics and a cool, assertive air all enable them to convince the unwitting public of their points"[16] while another in the Irish Times called it "unhinged" and accused it of offering nothing but "surreal perversions of genuine issues and debates."[6]

In the Gauntlet, Jordyn Marcellus wrote it was ironic that the film's viewers "have blindly followed the documentary without doing their own research." He states that, though the film is "well-edited and is truly compelling", it "glosses over inconvenient facts," uses "deceptive filmmaking" and that "for a film that rails against deception, there's a lot of deception implicit in its creation."

Good quotes....but they would say that wouldn't they.

I thought loose change was very good especailly the reasons for 9/11 and the video at the pentagon...no real wreckage to spek of.

As regards Zeitgeist.....Who does own the Fed...Roland Rat, if you consider the current situation Banks have fucked up big time and expect the taxpayer to bail them out.....yet if they were a mine or a car plant it would be shut down, and others would fill the void.

I agree even wafer thin ham has twos sides but I prefer to see both and a lot of what we see and are told is just one!

Yeh I enjoyed it a lot of it has bben rehashed by that Arron Russoe guy and the other American DJ whose name eludes me.....I just think that we too often take things at face value and blindly accept what we are told.

For example the coming depression will do wonders for armed forces recruitment, the arms industry, the police and the forces of repression as well as hopefully City!

I'd advise watching "Screw Loose Change" and you'll see how that rebuttlal documentary shows a lot of similarities with the critisism of Zeitgeist.

However you can see how both documentaries clash an give a glimpse of a much larger conspiracy which is hinted of at the end of Zeitgeist. I personally can't see that happening, although if ( and its a massive, huge, monsterous if) some of the claims of both documentaries are true, you wouldn't put it past a small group of "Fat Cat Americans" beleiveing they cane ventually 'rule the world'.

Just started watching Screw Loose Change....however I have not got time to watch it all now on first impressions seems a bit .............I'll hold judgement till I've watched it all

Not really a conspiracy theory as such but has anyone heard about the Mayan calendar which is ticking down and will end on 21st dec 2012?

Very interesting indeed.

Consiracy theories, designed for, believed by, thick Americans.

and your blanket statements are pretty fucking thick in their own right
So you're classing yourself in the 'thick' American's category then judging by your response, at least you can see that, it's the first step towards improving yourself.

I'm currently reading "the shock doctrine" which using evidence from as early as th 50's seems to prove that it is happening.
