That's crazy. 18 quid for a game of ping pong football.

Why so expensive? Seriously. Non league football shouldn't ever cost more than a tenner

It is cheaper to watch a top flight game in the German Bundeslegia than it is to watch a game in the conference.
Been like that for years!

And you can stand and drink beer in an amazing atmopshere, almost all the clubs are debt free too.

English football has evolved and gone backwards all in one!

It's expensive because half of the teams used to be in the football league and are still paying football league wages and running full time.
County went down twice in succession so (although I think they have a completely new squad this season) so may have had players on division 3 wages. As they bought new players in the aim of bouncing back, they have to pay decent wages to attract other players.

Also in Germany, the cost of the ticket includes local public transport too!!

But to watch 3rd of 4th league football is not much cheaper in Germany either. The clubs are professional and have to have staff for tickets etc. too - but do not have much income apart from the tickets.

E.g. at Offenbach, 3rd League standing is about 14 EUR, sitting starts with 20 and goes up to about 40

Another 3rd league club - 10 standing - 15 to 28 EUR sitting

The 4th league club in my neighbour hood (there is 3 fourth leagues in Germany, this club is pretty new in it)

9 standing, 13 sitting
