The decision to announce Pep

Nothing to do with the statement the whole season bar the first few games has been a train wreck.

This. People seem to be under some illusion that its all gone to shit since the announcement. We've been on the decline for 18 months. The problem isnt that we have announced Pellegrinis summer departure, but that it didnt happen earlier.

I don't think that statement has anything to do with it.

If it does have anything to do with it then quite frankly it's ridiculous. Why on earth would any player drop their standards when they know one of the world's greatest managers is soon to be coming in?

And like others have mentioned, cracks have been evident in this squad since last season, and they've just grown bigger and bigger. I think the Spurs game was evidence the players haven't given up on Pellegrini.

Totally agree and I am normally very positive. If the Spanish duo don't deliver big time in the next two seasons they have been a failure. This season has been painful.

It will be interesting to hear what Khaldoon has to say in his summer interview, if we don't win anything and finish outside the top four!

Hopefully these lazy wankers that play for us will give us something to shout about both on Wednesday and next Sunday, as others have said if we could win the League Cup it might just be the fillip we all need team and fans.

Khaldoon knows nothing about football. He just brought in a couple of Spanish Corporate Suits who convinced him that they by their associations know all about football. Actually its clear they know fuck all about matters on the pitch. They do a great job in growing certain aspects of the brand/ business but they have brought in an inept Manager and inept players at great cost. The Spaniards preach that they run the ethos of the Club and coaches are merely passing through. Lets hope Pep tells Khaldoon that he runs the football team, they can run the commercial side.

We've all known for a long time Pep was coming to us after his stint at Bayern. The fact that Pellegrini wasn't sacked at the end of last season just confirmed that to be the case. There is no way he would have been kept on taking into account the performances of last season if he wasn't just filling in until Pep got here.
