The drinking culture is concerning Roberto

Frankly don't care what the players do at night as long as it doesn't affect their performance during the day.

But when it reflects badly on the club, it becomes club business. Gareth Barry is married with children, what does his wife think of this?

Unfortunately English drinking culture is also US drinking culture. The point is to drink to nigh unconsciousness.

Hart is lucky that given was there as given is a good enough keeper that if mancini dropped hart as punishment he could easily keep him out of the side!

Johnson is daft with silva and milner both true pro's fighting for his place and sweep knuckling down as well.

They also have to realise we are owned by people and getting sponsored and earning money from an area where alcohol is not to be taken quite as lightly as some fans do. This ownership is what is getting them paid twice as much or in johnsons case 5X as much as they were getting before.

The truth is they can respect mancini, our owners and the club be part of a huge future or choose a future at bolton or the like. Their choice

Have to agree with him ......

even though it's their own time they have to understand that incidents such as this reflect on the club , in the same way that Rooneys sex antics affected the rags ......

players are on too much money now to throw their jobs away , but that's exactly what they will do if they carry on in this vein.

bang on. they have to decide, career at the top or party nights midweek. how daft are they, they must know someone will grass them up for cash ffs.

Going somewhere quiet & having a beer or two isn't really a problem, being photographed when drinking out of a spirits bottle at a students party just shows how thick or arrogant these players really are.
They are bound to have known that the media & Mancini would find out about it, so, they either just don't give a shit or they really are that stupid.

Were a working class club and drinking at games is a big part of our culture so mancini is never gonna be able to change that. ........Oh sorry he's on about the players.

I think it's a combination of both, to be honest. With the insane amount of money they earn and the fact that footballers in general just aren't very smart, it's bound to happen, especially when mixed with UK culture. All I can say is this: City is a very ambitious club (obviously) and to get to the very top you have to be 100% focused on the goal, at least until the season's ended. Those that can't keep their focus will be left behind, it's as simple as that.

After a pretty hectic schedule of league and europa games that players have a couple of days off and choose to let their hair down over four days before their next game after a golfing trip, nothing to see here as far as I am concerned, now if they were doing the same a night before a game, or turning up for training hungover then it would be different.

Drinking affects performance so the players should not drink
