The end of chip shop gravy?

It needs to happen, however I have serious doubts about what it will be replaced with.

So far we've seen the introduction of paper straws that become useless the moment they come into contact with liquid, and wooden cutlery that gives you splinters whilst you eat. So I think we're probably on course for takeaway seaweed mesh nets that ooze out the sauces and burn your hands at this rate.
Sugar based products and bamboo paper

A company called Vegware is 100% compostable products and have alternatives to wooden cutlery and paper straws have advanced greatly and don't go soggy in a drink

Disagree, you add the flour to the oil after you've fried the chicken thus making a roux. Add stock, milk or water, whatever floats your boat.
Delish !
Am I right but dont KFC make the gravy from the residue at the bottom of the fryers. I'm sure I watched a programme about KFC and the running of the franchise.

A few places near me serve it in cardboard and it really doesn't make any impact to the taste / durability of the container.

the scraps of batter are used to flavour, no different to people who have the fish batter scraps really it just sounds off putting when described

They certainly do still in kids drinks, my two refuse to have an apple juice or smoothie any more in their packed lunches as the straws are useless. Water is better for them anyway!
