The english 'culture' of football is shocking unfortunately. We are so bothered about work rate that we forget football is a game of skill. I am not advocating for lazy players, but as long as we have 8 workers we are allowed the flair players. People are having a go at Robinho...yes he did have a shocking first half, prob the worst I have seen him..but he improved in the 2nd half...and do people not see his first touch for example. No he may not run his socks off, but he has got talent that half of our team can only dream of...and if we want to be good we need that. But being typically english we aren't happy with that, we want pure effort over skill. Look at how England play football...its boring. Look at the tactics of (most) English managers; boring thuggery; Pulis, Kinnear, Allerdyce, Hughes when at Blackburn and Megson. Look at the spanish team, Italian, Brazillian, Argentian and French. They all realise that har work is key, but so is skill. It just annoys me when people say lets get vassell on for Robinho, for example; Yes, vassell will work a lot harder, but as long as there are 9 or so other players working hard,we can afford to have a few flair players who wont go in for every tackle, but can produce a piece of magic. We missed Sturridge today I think. It's just the whole culture of England, and it annoys me from time to time!!!

Sorry but we are not playing in Spain Italy or France. Here it is a combination of skill and commitment.

Robinho slows the game down to much and gives it away to much.

I hope your jokin mate...I believe I said we need that combination, so in no way am i fooled into thinking we are playing in Spain o France. Robinho had a poor game today, granted, but 11 goals, you cannot argue with that. And sometimes the game needs to be slowed down, not all the time, but smoetimes. And unfortunately here it isnt a combination, too many people are making it purely commitment.

So who were these 8 workers then?

Maybe today they weren't there, but they normally should be is my point. Zabaletta, De Jong etc will be the workers. And I was talking about the failings of English football as a whole, that we hate anyone who may leave a few tackles.

Yeah sometimes it needs slowing down not when we are counter attacking like he does.

Can you tell me a game where he has played well for us away from home this season?

What do you hve against Robinho...you seemed to have ignored all my other points and just forcus on this. No, he isn't great away from home, but I am sure that will change. Blackburn is a prime example for you tho...he may have done next to nothing for the most part, but still helped create our 1st and get the equaliser. How you can have a go at the 2nd top scorer in the league is beyond me. He is poor away from home, but we still need him. But my points were about the failings of the game and how we view it..not robinho. He had his worst half for us in a city short today in the 1st half..no doubt about it. But he still oozes class, I don't believe his first touc can be bettered anywhere else in the prem.
