Not the foggiest idea but it would have been around 1970, possibly earlier (Live).
I vividly remember being told to come in (was outside playing kerby) because, "Your Dad is taking you to see City".

Mum said, "He really wants to take you".

First game attended was Southampton v Birmingham 1978 with my Saints supprting old man. Was a big game, since 78 world cup winner Alberto Tarantini? had signed for Birmingham.....only thing I remember is future blue, Phil Boyer scoring for Saints, not sure if it was 1-0 or 1-1, (can't be bothered to check). First on TV would be a 78 world cup game, but can't remember much of it, probably saw something from 74 world cup on TV...but was only 4 and half, so no memory at all.

First TV match I have a clear memory of was Spurs v Leicester City, 1961 FA Cup final, Spurs won 2-0 to clinch the League and Cup double. Leicester had a player carried off with a broken leg in the first half, no subs then.

First "live" match was at the swamp, FA Youth Cup Semi-final 1st leg April 8th 1964, we lost 4-1.
The second leg on 20th April was my first visit to Maine Rd, we lost 4-3.

Soon after those games I started spending most of my money on records and only went to a few Central League matches in between until :

5th March 1966 - First team "debut" FA Cup 5th round v Leicester City, 2-2 draw, Neil Young scored both.

First away game - swamp derby Sept 1966, lost 1-0, Summerbee had a goal controversially ruled out for offside.

I suppose I could think of all the money I could have saved since then but it wouldn't have been half as much fun.

Sometime in the early 60's. Was a cup replay against Stoke, I think. It had the old scoreboard end before the 'new ' north stand. 60k, midweek!
A couple of walls collapsed around the pitch during the game.
I went with my youth club from Holy Trinty, and my Dad told my Mum he would go and try to 'find' me (in 60k!).
Anyway next morning I found out he had his wallet nicked with all the money he hid from my Mum - it was my fault of course!
The wallet was found behind the cisterns in the Kippax st toilets.
God I'm old - and I'm only 66!
