The forgotten few

Think my previous lot have been mentioned so....Terry Park, Kevin Langley, Andrew Elliott, Gary Jackson (played in the 81-82 derby I think)

Has anyone mentioned Bill Williams ? One season with us from Stockport & then back to them for half the price we paid

If not already mentioned, Mike Stowell? Loan keeper (from Wolves?) in late 80s. Also from same era, Ian Thompstone. City career: 1 sub appearance, one goal.

Cliff "Last Ditch" Sear! Legs like sticks of celery, but a wholehearted defender and a Welsh international, I recall. Bobby Kennedy played around the same time. Alan Ogley. Matt Gray. David Wagstaff. What about Vic Gomersall? I expect some folk don't know what I'm talking about. Please don't tell me I'm the only one...
It's all coming back to me.........
Oh, I do! And if you remember Matt Gray, you’ll also recall prolific goal scorer Alex Harley signed about the same time (and also from Third Lanark). Harley was a ‘goal machine’ and so his transfer to Birmingham after only one season with us remains a mystery - to me at least.

An obvious one that. City were relegated, Birmingham were not.

He did nothing with Birmingham and moved on to Dundee and Portadown. After a spell with Cape Town he died in 1969 aged 33 while working as a hotel porter in Birmingham.

As well as Harley, Peter Dobing jumped ship with relegation, going to promoted Stoke City. Harley and Dobing were replaced by Derek Kevan and (later) by Jimmy Murray.
