The Harry and Meghan fuss

So everyone on here has been getting their knickers in a twist based on false information?

On the Bluemoon Harry and Meghan thread? Surely not!

Posts claiming Camilla was partying with Clarkson/Moron misrepresent the event, and it shouldn't be held against Camilla that she was there.
That is all that it means, and it's a minor issue.

The Clarkson piece is reprehensible and without any obvious provocation. It's just plain nasty, and the entire Sun hierarchy allowed it to be published which just shows that they've not changed either.

they've allowed these types of comments and hatred to be published for many years - they must be surprised on the backlash to this one

Presumably so, I don't recall hearing of anything quite as awful as this one.

The thing is I don't know what IPSO (or whoever the complaints people are) can do - the Sun will say it's a comment piece and doesn't advocate harm directly (although it is obviously just another piece which inflames and will encourage if unchecked).

We might not, couldn't say for sure obviously.
However, it's easy to be wise with hindsight.

The Palace very rarely comment on media pieces, and breaking that would be s significant move. My expectation is that the same things would be presented in a sneakier way. I'm not sure what the Palace are meant to be able to do - withdraw access, and be even more of a target (if Harry/Meghan are anything to go by).
The way I see it is that Royal Family is big news and sells newspapers. A timely statement from the Palace along the lines of stating that constructive criticism is fine but articles with sinister undertones are an entirely different thing would've seen most - or all - of the venomous bile end overnight. It would also perhaps have helped heal any rifts between Harry and other family members so it would've been a win-win in that regard.

the troll on here is saying - it wasn't Camilla that hosted the event

regardless, they still all wined and dined and had a jolly up together whilst that abusive shite was being published
Yeah, I was being facetious Mark - I knew exactly what he was saying ;) For me, the Camilla angle is the side issue - the main issue is Clarkson's piece.
