He was taking a huge risk as even if it went in his favour he could still have had to pay their legal fees , he took on that risk as nobody else dared to, we know the other celebs as hundreds came foward but then settled, he is not risking it all for them , he wanted to get an admission of guilt and a wide spread apology and the execs having to have to testify. No doubt the newsgroup didnt want that to happened so gave in to his demands , he played chicken and they blinked first

There is nothing negative to be said here, we cry to city board to take on the media but they dont as it an expensive and risky thing to do, harry is one man, his mum would be proud of him

Because it wasnt about money , it was about that grovelling apology, including to diana, he got what he wanted without the risk money wise, he has spent enough and gone the longest and confirmed what he and thousands in totally always believed was true and are now asking for parliament and the police to act

I do think it would have been much more personally damaging for the News Group executives if they had been forced to testify in court, but it's a lot easier to say that if you're not personally (potentially) on the hook for millions of legal fees.
