Hi fellas.

I'm doing a study on the impact of foreign ownership in the EPL for my final project at university.

I'm just looking for a few more responses from some City fans to fill in my questionnaire.

It should take no more than 2 minutes to complete. Any responses would be appreciated.

Cheers!

I had a look but to be honest it's a bit simplistic. Apart from the fact that they're foreign, neither British nor foreign owners are homogeneous groups with distinctive characteristics. There are good foreign & British owners and there are bad ones.

The term "foreign owners" covers people like Sheikh Mansour/Abramovich at one end of the spectrum and people like Shinawatra or Tom Hicks at the other. The former saved their clubs from financial disaster whereas the latter nearly pushed their clubs to the very brink of ruin. Then there's a group in the middle like Randy Lerner & Ellis Short, who have tried their best but don't have unlimited funds.

Surely it's the ownership model and financing that's relevant rather than purely the nationality of the owner.

That was a badly phrased questionnaire and your editor will throw it out as it displays inbuilt bias.

Cheers for the feedback. This can be used in my analysis towards the end.

the first thing you need to do is to stop calling it the fucking EPL

it's not rocket science it's called The Premiership FFS

This is what pisses me off regarding this kick racism out of football thing we've got going. Only in football you would get away with the 'too many foreigners' remark. Anywhere else and you're sacked as a racist. Yet this is widely said from the top down in football.

Without knowing the nationality make-up of all clubs shareholders it is impossible to tell.

It is also hard to tell who exactly owns certain clubs as it is often done through another company surreptitiously.
