I'd like to see Martin Kelly brought in,he's fantastic on the ball,reads the game superbly,strong in the challenge and,being 6'3 can do an excellent job across the defence.

Why not,he's an improvement,at 22,on Zaba and Maicon and given Micahs horrendous injury record.......

He'd cost an armload for a mediocre player that could be bought for peanuts from the rest of civilized world. He is a squad player for Liverpool and at his best a bench player for us. For that reason alone I say no.

Shame for the lad,i think he's an excellent,versatle talent.

Both fullback positions are areas of weakness for us,our first choice two - Richards and Clichy - are strong,however,our depth is a concern for me.
Zabs is a decent backup for both positions but then we're struggling,certainly they are areas we can strengthen and unfortunately i see little to encourage in the EDS.

I agree with you, both of Lille fullbacks looks very good.

I was hoping for Van Der Wiel but he end up at PSG.

Based on Sunday, I'd settle for a couple of easy wins, with Silva and Garcia rested. One looked exhausted the other way of the pace. We need to sign better players than we have, there's no escaping that, but jeez, we looked like a team that had played the second best team in the world and the gooners looked like they had played a team near the bottom of the French league.
