If you wondered why our club are taking legal action against The Sun over the £160k watch story. Have a look at some of the comments on this Villa board.

The owners would have gained a lot more respect by giving this money to a local charity.

It gets worse when you read the 'Man City' thread. The usual "no history small club" bollocks but the Villa fans seem to be really upset by us. I wouldn't mind if they had a valid opinion based on fact, but when they post shit like this

Don't bother signing up to their forum to argue our case. You have to be approved by admin or donate to the site before you can post.
This was the answer I got when I asked why I couldn't reply to their lies.

Definatly some stupid posts but I dunno about bitter. Maybe I am just getting sick of saying that for every other fan who says something about another club but I can't see anyone being bitter just a bit moronic.

The media spread shite and ignorant twats like those Villa fans who said all that just lap it up. A small apology doesn't get noticed in the paper.

The club was right to take legal action and I know Craig Bellamy has done the same several times. The lies damage people's reputations and cause ill-will against them. I accept that people will hate us for having money to buy better players and possibly becoming successful on the back of it but when they bring up lies against us it does rankle somewhat.

For our owners who are building their name and reputation in the west through our club to be the victims of such lies must be pretty annoying.
 
looks like rafa is full of bitterness according to the express, martin o'neill says liverpool did not lodge a bid for gareth barry before the midfielders move to manchester city. ha ha whats was he going on about then with his money money money rant.
