was a decent game. Bellamy and Adebayor not on the same wavelength, but that's to be expected. Were guilty of trying to walk the ball into the net on more than one occasion, but some of the build up play was promising - mostly involving Ireland. Adebayor was really unlucky when he hit the bar and then the rebound just evaded him, and Robbie had a good shot against the woodwork. De Jong also did well.
Weiss came on for the last 20 and was direct as ever, but he needs to learn to put his head up. He reminds me of SWP when he was first breaking into the team.
Barnsley's goal was a good finish by their man, although McGivern let the ball past him and then Ben-Haim was completely beaten by the striker (not really sure who to apportion blame to as I've only seen it once, and it was at the other end of the ground). Simple goal from City, low cross from Ireland and a tap-in for Petrov at the far post.
We also looked more dangerous from corners with Toure and Adebayor in there.
Wouldn't be too concerned by the result - we could have had more and the players are still learning to play together.
