Saves having to go to midway of a 50 page thread in the Matchday forum, I wanna hear from just the people that were there.

For anyone coming back from Barnsley soon, please add your match day info here. (Dont expect anything till 7pm)

Pre-match: Inc the journey, pubs, incidents, songs, stadium, away fans

Match: Opinions of the new guys, formations, new songs sung, crowd numbers, opposition, how the game went.

Post match: Pubs, journey home, incidents etc.

And an away day rating out of 10, and photos/vids where possible

Just got back (Sheffield Uni).

Adebayor missed a sitter but it was a bit unlucky. He lobbed the keeper but it came back off the bar and he just missed the rebounding ball altogether. He missed another he probably should have scored. One thing I did notice was that he spends most of the match miles away from goal though he was more direct in the second half. I think Hughes must have said something at HT.

Bellamy was lively and probably should have scored too.

Toure went off injured but it looked just a precaution. He was immense while he was on. Ben Haim came on and was pretty shite. It was his mistake that gave them the lead.

Ireland looked good again, he made some really good runs that weren't spotted. He set up the goal for Petrov with a low ball across the face of goal. Was a tap in at the back post

Robinho curled one against the post but generally seemed scared of shooting. In fact the whole team didn't shoot enough and was trying to pass the ball in every time.

Starting line-up:

Given
Garrido
Ned
Toure
Richards
De Jong
Ireland
SWP
Bellers
Robinho
Adebayor

Subs that came on: Zabaleta, McGivern, Ben Haim, Weiss, Petrov.

We took good numbers, probably about 4k. One end of the stand was partitioned off but we pretty much filled the rest from what I could see, maybe there were some spaces right at the back.

That darts tune was actually played before kick off but the Adebayor song never got going. Some people were singing 'Adebayor, Adebayooooor, he's hung like an elephant, his wife's a bit sore' but that never got mass singing. We were pretty quiet generally but Barnsley's fans were shit hardly sang a song all match. Good ground though.

i thought you played pretty well today all in all. Ireland ran the game for you and was really impressive, adebayor didnt play well and i cant understand how he missed an opputunity in the first half (he lobbed the keeper and seemed to try and touch the ball in after but it got cleared?) but maybe he just needs time to gel.

robinho had a quiet game and started sulking after about 60 minutes, he was challenged at one point for the ball and just walked away? does he do this regular?

one of the problems was until we scored your players just tried walking the ball into the net, it was only after we scored that you had more urgency.

couple more defenders and your sorted i reckon
