Sorry Tevez, Clichy and Aguero but sadly you are on the bench.

Mancini has already confirmed that aguero will be on the bench next sunday.

Its just hit me that we could have Tevez and Aguero on the bench next week! Its a long way from Bianchi and Corradi :D

Clichy is streets ahead of walkabout Kolarov
Eh? Bristol did you not watch todays match? He was excellent, the thing is we have 2 excellent LB so calm down on the negativity...

There was a time today when Kolarov was caught so far upfield that Milner filled in for maybe 3 or 4 minutes while he sauntered back.

Not saying he isn't good going forward but he can't defend as well as Clichy.

My point is, he did a great job and his crossing has improved etc, etc.
However this position has never looked so good for us, so really no need to call him.

Kolarov was great today, and will be a big player for us this season.

LB spot will perhaps be the most fiercely contested this year, as to be honest, both deserve to play and would walk into most other Premier League teams.

Exaggerate much?

Find the clip. Milner was class today by the way. Do people think he'll get in the team over Barry this season?

I watched it. 3 or 4 minutes? Get real. Want to be taken seriously? Be serious.

And Milner was average. Worked hard, but messed up so many chances.

OK then there was a clear lack of urgency to get back into position and wandered about in the centre of the pitch for a while.

Yes, he did let Milner cover his position. That's the formation's demands, though. If you're going to have your fullbacks bomb forward, then your central mids are going to have to cover, especially when you're 70+ minutes into the game.

we'll find out soon enough; if I had to guess I think we will go with the NDJ-Barry-Yaya midfield next Sunday. Expect the critics to be on us right away if we start with Milner-Silva-Mario as the attacking 3 instead of Silva-Mario-Dzeko

There are positions still very much up for debate in that team , midfield between Barry and Milner , left back between Kola and Clichy . I would not be disappointed if that team went out next week . But for all those who favour Kolarov over Clichy , you have to look at who Kolarov was up against today. Inter played very narrow at the back which allowed Kola to exploit the wider areas . Against the rags , he won't be able to do that as much so it could negate his impact upon the game. I don't care who lines up next week as long as Vinnie K , NDJ and David Silva are there , I am happy .
