The Labour Government

Sir Keir Starmer says he's been working with Ukraine and its allies on how to use frozen Russian assets to support Ukrainians "in their hour of need".

"Today, Mr Speaker, I can announce that we're issuing a licence to transfer £2.5bn from the sale of Chelsea Football Club that's been frozen since 2022.

"My message to Abramovich is this: The clock is ticking, honour the commitment that you made, and pay up now. And if you don't, we're prepared to go to court, so every penny reaches those whose lives have been torn apart by Putin's illegal war."

Somebody put 50p in the musketeer I see.

Ironically every one of his posts are identical regardless who's in charge.
Careful, you’ll get a backlash from the group saying things like that.

Think even they are discovering that this thread is pointless, barring the miserable venting their misery to like minded echo chamber merchants.

Fuck the group, I'd have to have a tiny bit of respect for any of them to give a fuck what they think.

I’ve no idea what advice they are taking, or from whom, but it’s not working. There are some fantastic people around who have grown their own businesses very successfully often in very challenging markets. They should be closer to the government.
Or maybe they are too busy making money for themselves to want to get involved in potentially spreading wealth a bit more equally across the population.

Any thoughts on who you may want to get involved?

Doesn't surprise me that you don't see workers rights as a positive.
Perhaps that’s because I’ve actually taken the time to read the proposals and see how the business community has reacted to them.

For all the hot air vented by the lefties on here, and their obvious dislike of a critical appraisal, very few appear to do the same. Far easier to post some made up data or a load of guff from social media and convince themselves that the government’s critics are under the spell of GB news, and will vote Reform because that’s what Elon Musk is telling them to do.

The Federation of Small Businesses ran a survey on the employment rights proposals. 92% of respondents said they were worried by them, two thirds said they would recruit fewer people in response, a third said they would reduce headcount because of the proposals. Two thirds also said they would avoid hiring anyone with a poor work record, and a third stated they wouldn’t hire someone who hasn’t worked before because of what the government is planning.

Quite emphatic and not a little worrying, I would say.

No doubt people on here will disregard that, just as they did the warnings that the NIC hike would increase unemployment and inflation.

Fucking cry babies.

It’s been a negative forum since the day it started ffs because we have shit politicians and governments and that’s politics!

You don’t like something or someone, you come on here and say so!

Majority bleating have years of posts exactly the fucking same.

Funny as fuck watching you all whine about it all of a sudden though.
Xmas do?

Labour’s employment rights bill will finally become law after a battle in the House of Lords, paving the way for significant new rights for workers on sick pay, parental leave and zero-hours contracts.
Expected to be given Royal Assent tomorrow.

Hands up - All those that won't be surprised, when.

* Unemployment goes up ( even more )**

* Hiring decreases

* People start moving their businesses abroad.

** There are an estimated 1.2 million people on ZHC's in the UK - How many of them will be told, on your delivery bike and GTF, no contract for you, sunshine.

Labour are now considering to issue those claiming benefits free TV Licences. I wonder where the money for that will come from?

Are you saying these companies gave people work for a laugh, who is gonna do the work they were doing.

Employment rights are a good thing for millions of hard working people in this country.

I would much rather see the likes of you and the other snipers go off to the other party forums and start posting positive and persuasive stuff about the respective opposition parties. The lack of support for their policies is deafening. As it is, all that happens is, as you say ,negativity on here.

You could of course have posted positive stuff on here today when inflation dropped by more than expected, but again deafening silence. It's almost like you don't want any good news.

Similar to some of the fans on here who constantly slag off players and the team in general, they would prefer things to be shit so they have something to be miserable about.
You don't hear a peep when there's a bit of positivity but god forbid there's something negative then it's like Xmas fucking morning for them.

Before I got my first season ticket in the Kippax I did a few games with the Main Stand moaners. Part of our DNA to be moaning ole cunts.

Labour very much remind me of City. Whatever they do they won’t get any recognition from the establishment led, rancid media and if Starmer cured world poverty and single handedly saved the world from destruction, they would still say ‘Yeah, but compared to Thatcher!’.

Starmer's rejoining campaign gathers momentum with him rejoining Erasmus (ignoring the Turing scheme we set up instead which is global and better in scope). He's also paying them £576,000,000 A YEAR for the honour.
The EU must love it, they know he'll sign up to anything and pay whatever they ask.

Black hole? What black hole?

Next we can expect the youth mobility scheme (more freedom of movement) which he stated last year would never happen, then rip up those trade deals as its Customs Union time.
Not a Brexit reset, its blatant taxpayer betrayal of highest order.
