The Labour Government

I've always said that being in opposition is a piece of piss. You can promise the world, with no pressure to deliver on those promises. Not so easy once you get the keys to No. 10.
Or win a referendum that you campaigned for in the sure expectation you were going to lose.

I know it's different when you're in power but Shapps went "rogue" and even Johnson didn't sound keen on what P&O did, but Starmer’s problem here is... well, what Starmer said at the time.

He keeps showing us he's a vacuous **** even his supporters are starting to see it.

I am shocked at your positive unbiased review of Labour.
Positive? I basically gave them 3 out of 10 for their naivety.

Happy with the content of their policies though, didn’t think they’d go so fast, so early. In that respect, it does feel that a government is starting to deliver, unlike what the last few did.

You gave them 8 for policies, saying their shortcomings is naivety is a deflection and excuse which I'm not falling for. They ain't naive just a lot grubbier than we hoped.

Of course they will, it’s politics. A governments job is to leave the country in a better place than when they arrived, if you don’t continue to remind us of what you inherited (even if there is a large element of creative license) how will voters measure it?

The daft thing is if it wasn’t for the fuck ups this government could put their feet up having already left their country in a better place with the renters bill and extra working rights. Unfortunately they’ve fucked in with the daft WFA policy - the freebies etc is really just them getting used to being in government which they should be learning from - the WFA is the biggest issue.

The biggest issues was resolving the disputes and strikes in the health and transport sector - but we know anything positive just gets completely washed over and forgotten. Such is politics.

Personally I haven’t seen anything that I’d call grubby that I think is particularly important. I do think they have been incredibly naive though. I’ll cut them a bit of slack having been out of power for 15 years so they’re coming in with basically no experience but they do need to learn quickly.

Time will if they’ve got it in them. I doubt it but got to live in hope :)
