Nah, you’re a cuddly teddy bear who always looks out for those worse off than you.
You’re a breath of fresh air in this cruel heartless world.
I am actually.

Blair is talking out of his arse then , he cant get done what he didnt achieve in person by sending messages to starmer two days after the electionMigrant workers already have ID cards. It's called a residence permit. It details what type of work they are allowed to undertake and where applicable they also include remarks such as "no public funds".
Why would Blair think this was a good idea then?Migrant workers already have ID cards. It's called a residence permit. It details what type of work they are allowed to undertake and where applicable they also include remarks such as "no public funds".
I thought you voted for Reform UK?
You might want to tell that to whoever is control of your Bluemoon account xI am actually.
No Tory in the end - Reform attracted too many not rights

I regularly use the word in conjunction with the words ‘fucking’ ‘low’ ‘life’ and ‘cunts’.

Fair points.Because immigration is a smokescreen for his long term political project. Blair is a natural top down politician with an authoritarian streak.
It's not about migrants having ID cards it's about everyone else having them.
Digital ID cards are eventually going to be vulnerable to data leaks and the "security" of a minority of people accessing benefits comes at the expense of the majority who will have increased vulnerability to ID theft. And Not everyone wants to tie the documents to their smart phone.
Why are we still listening to a bloke that believes in liberating people by bombing them and creating bloody civil wars?
How do you know there is no money. Are you seriously suggesting that the 3 or 400million spent on Rwanda was the last money the UK had. That is a clearly a laughable suggestion. There is no money for id cards , if only we hadnt paid the french half a billion quid for seemingly fuck all and spent how much on rwanda. Money that could have used for setting up legal routes and assessment centres in france ,hopefully we have not actually handed over all the money yet and can change tack
I strongly suspect there are a lot of people flying under the radar, working cash-in-hand without any documentation whatever. In many cases, these individuals are grossly exploited. In some cases, they are modern slaves. They will not be paying tax or NI, and some will be doing illegal stuff, not necessarily willingly.
Any left-wing government, indeed any government with a shred of morality, should want to tackle this. ID cards for all would be a contribution towards tackling it, though not a complete solution. Like many other issues, it requires resources that aren't there.
We are talking about immigration, the money the tories have wasted on it is mind blowing , now we have to find a coyple of billion more just to do something practical to help the problem , money is not growing on trees at the home officeHow do you know there is no money. With all due respect Kaz I don't think you actually have an idea of how much money the UK government has at its disposal or how much is regularly wasted. We are talking about immigration, the money the tories have wasted on it is mind blowing , now we have to find a coyple of billion more just to do something practical to help the problem , money is not growing on trees at the home office
Let's see if David Lammy can sort it, it will be interesting.Easier to set up processing centres in France, where finger prints can be taken as part of the process. Then, if they try to reapply, we already have their details and they can be dismissed straight away.
Stops the need for channel crossings and we can set our asylum law anywhere that is within international law, whether that be more lax or more stringent.
It is also interesting that they are common place across the EU and in many countries compulsory across all of the populace.I strongly suspect there are a lot of people flying under the radar, working cash-in-hand without any documentation whatever.
