Cheers. Well, that’s what democracy’s for.

Personally, I’d like to see massive reform of all areas of welfare/benefits and give those that need it a decent standard of living, including supply of social housing and social infrastructure.

I suppose this is part of what they are trying to, save money to invest elsewhere. How they thought Labour MPs would go along with this, I’m not sure.

You can flip that, is there any group you aren't willing to throw under a bus for Starmers endless pursuit of strong and stable ie look I'm dead sensible me not like those old timer socialists.

Well before last election I came to the conclusion the cast was set however which way I voted.

If I'm wrong correct me, but there was a record low voter turn-out and thus a record low mandate for Labour?

Like Hungary have had a state referendum on the vote to allowing Ukraine into EU - further mandate should be sent back down the pyramid.

Power is currently at the top in unelected orifices, and it's utterly pointless and a waste of a vote locally.

There are so many Labour MPs it brings different problems. By their sheer number it means many will never aspire to more senior positions. So they vote according to what their constituents will want.
Which is a good thing.

Some interesting facts here including lowest turnout was in Rusholme at a paltry 40%. Never knew that.

I didn’t vote for them but I really wanted Labour to do well, not just because I want (and hope most still do) any government to succeed but also the alternative that it would lead to if they didn’t still doesn’t bear thinking about to me. I’ve also tried to give a lot of leeway with them being out of power for so long and expected them to make a few mistakes.

The amount of self inflicted wounds are starting to pile up though. Not sure exactly where needs the change but they need to work out where and do it quickly.

People get put off by how decisive politics is - to the point of ignoring it all and ultimately not engaging in the democratic process. Up until the day of voting I sold myself I'll not vote, as I no longer had faith in the democratic process I was partaking in. I ended up voting, as I always thought millions died for that chance - sounds cliche.

People didn't turn out to vote because they've lost trust in all fronts of our leadership.

They’re in disarray.

They come up with some cack-handed welfare ‘reforms’ because Rachel already needs snookers for her sums to add up, and they make such a balls up of it that they’ll never be able to do anything on welfare ever again.

Now they’ll need to raise a ton of tax in October and it’s going to be a complete free for all across the party with everyone piping up on which taxes they want hiked. So they’ll be gunning for Reeves and although Starmer should really just get rid he can’t because that would leave him too exposed. And all within 12 months of getting elected!

Sorry, no, it's what you do all of the time. The Tories let the roof fall in and it now needs repairing. Answer which taxes you are happy to see rise and, potentially pay yourself.
