The Manchester City Freakshow has begun....

I think today's events have left a very bitter taste in the mouth, we have replaced an inexperienced manager with another one with a typical Manchester City knee jerk reaction. I thought ADUG arriving at City would bring the stability we have craved but instead it looks as if we might turn into a power drunk mafia style mob who hire and fire at the drop of a hat.

I actually don't think I would be that upset if we were getting a proven experienced manager such as Gus Hiddink, I could then at least see the reasoning behind it but to get Roberto Mancini who has achieved absolutely nothing of value in football means we are jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Mark Hughes needed three years to mould the squad into the style and formation he wanted and he has been stopped halfway through doing a good job IMO, we have now gone back two years and have to start the process again with yet another manager who will want a new batch of players and so we are yet again no further on as a club.

I made an analagy earlier on this forum and I stick by it now, if we try to build a house and keep knocking it down just before we put the roof on we will never have a house. When will we learn as fans and as a club that we can't keep pressing the self destruct button.

Mark my words we will have a revolving door now at eastlands and will be swapping managers every six months, that kind of freakshow is the one thing the media were hoping to happen and they have got their way due to pure manipulation of some of the sheep types we have on this forum, I can only see unrest and heartache again for the next 30 years.

Very sad as we had the potential to build something good.

So winning 5 trophies in 3 years with Inter is nothing?
I dont like the way thaey sacked Hughes but 2 wins in 11 isnt good enough.FFS whats done is done get over it
Kiam you are a tool
Mancini has not even arrived yet and your slagging him off
GET BEHIND HIM

I wouldn't say that several Serie A's and Coppa De Italia's are nothing. He has also managed big players in the Balotelli/Ibrahimovic/Figo/Viera etc roles, and has experience of CL matches. All this is more than Hughes had.

I feel you are disrespecting our new manager a bit there. Fair play to your defence of Hughes though, and I can't really argue with most of that.

nobody gets three years anymore

nobody

especially not for such a prime job opportunity as ours

you have to achieve more than the minimum at some point in the first year or two, especially if you don't have the track record

it's called 'competition'

The 'typical city' tag still remains,

but i feel it will soon end, people will be eating their words when we turn this around.

Hope you a right but I can't see any logic in today's decision, Mancini is on a par with Hughes at best a good player and an inexperienced manager. His Serie A titles are irrelevant as he was given a ready made team and his main opponents AC and Juve had been either relegated or docked points.

I would love to feel confident about his appointment but I just don't, but I will still get behind the guy as the club comes first.

No need for the personal insults. You've put your opinion across; surely Kiam is entitled to his? As for getting behind Mancini; pity some of our fans couldn't get behind Hughes.

It is a shocking way of doing things and it is a knee jerk reaction as usual. We are turning into a Chelsea and it's fucking horrible. The problem is it is either this way or the we had to put up with for years. So I'll take this way because with this much money even we'll get there in the end.
