McIlroy was 90th out of 91 for fairways hit and greens in regulation after the first two rounds. Remarkable that he was in the lead to be honest. As soon as his immaculate short game has deserted him this round it's all gone to pot.

It's one of those bomb and gouge courses though which suit the big hitters. It's all starting to look quite interesting for tomorrow. Even with a good finish, I doubt anyone will have more than a 2 or 3-shot lead with plenty of quality players in the mix.

It's an amazing course in the sense that someone/anyone could hit a six/seven under par and be totally in contention.
Tomorrow should be fantastic.

Indeed. Young will also be rueing the first 7 holes when he was 4 over par. Without those he'd be 3 shots ahead.Cantlay must be rueing that 77 in R1 a par round would have put him in the clubhouse with a tie for the lead 1 shot of Rory currently.
