The Masters Golf

In fact it's crazy that players can have so different rounds in the same competition. Cantlay has scored 66 67 77. You'd think they'd be fairly consistent at the highest level.

Indeed. Young will also be rueing the first 7 holes when he was 4 over par. Without those he'd be 3 shots ahead.
Its why its the greatest tournament for me.

They just need to do it on a different week to the Grand National as i lose most of Saturday every year!

How can you care about golfers who win and don't. I just want to watch a tense finish. Ok maybe id like Fleetwood to win but meh. It's golf.
I guess the same as you might care about tennis players/football players etc doing well. Some you develop a feel for and others you perhaps get to dislike for various reasons.

I'd also like to see a tense finish, as long as one of the players I like win it ;-)

All have their charms but, Saturday at Augusta just seems to deliver every year, moving day is so apt.
It is but I guess I like tournaments that move locations a bit more to give players with different strengths more of a chance. I love Augusta more as I have Bobby Jones close to my heart and for its beauty rather than its challenge as a gold course.

The exception is the Player's and that's only because I like to see so many balls go into a drink on such a short hole as the 17th. Pros apparently lose about 35 per round but amateurs about 100,000 in total and it's only a 130-yard hole.

A fine end to the day and looking forward to some excitement tomorrow. If I was a betting man my money would be on Mcilroy, with a side bet on Young. Nothing overly revealing as they are leading but they seem the best equipped for the course.

I just have a slightly horrible feeling about Scheffler but surely he's too far behind. I'd bet that Cantlay won't finish not far away too but no chance of winning.

I actually love the timing of the masters too. Tune in about 6/7pm, it's over by midnight-ish.

Work/life stuff just means I'm not going to watch the Open from 8am to 6pm for 4 days but the timing of Augusta means I get to see pretty much all 4 days.

Would love Lowry, Rose or Day to win.

Rory going back to back would be good and he should be up with Faldo, Mickelson more than level with bloody Brooks Koepka.

Don't want Scheffler to win but I'd take it over Reed.

I find Cam Young to be very bland, but it's always good to see someone win their first majory.

Sam Burns is a Trump supporter so he can get fucked!

Obviously a bit of a difference if only tuning in for 5 or 6 hours compared to 10 hours. Fortunately, as I don't work, it doesn't really make much difference to me. I also quite like to see how those that are struggling get on.

Both have their charms of course but I prefer the Open (and the US Open). Augusta is probably the most beautiful course though.

Each to their own.

I’d bet on Young.

He's leading now ;-)

Yes, but unfortunately 2 of my golfers missed the cut so Young turning it around doesn’t mean much to me. Ha.

However, I was fortunate enough to win a few quid on the National yesterday so I’m back in the game for tonight’s final round.

I’ve just had:

Scheffler - Top 5
Rose - Top 10
Li - Top 10
Reed - Top 10
Schauffele - Top 20
Morikawa - Top 20

10/1.

However, if City win today I couldn’t care less about this Golf bet. Ha. Come on the Blues.
