The match day buzz never leaves.

It's not been the same for me this season.
A few reasons, constant road works or road closures.
Journey time has increased.
The difficulty in getting tickets, being in the online queue for hours.
The price of tickets
But the biggest thing is not being able to get seats with my lad and our mates. Not being with them really detracts from the buzz.

Our best trip this season was to Brighton but again we weren't sat together but the atmosphere was great.

Not the same going to the game for me anymore. Far too much razzamatazz at football now hence why I cut back on night games this season as I actually really detest them with all the hassle.

Not excited about tonight at all and I’ll be sat watching on TV.

I think the pinnacle for me was reached in Istanbul to be honest.

Same for me to be honest. Came out of the CL scheme this season as I was bored rigid at CL games last season and hated all the rushing around on a work night. Seriously thinking about ditching my season ticket after this season as I just don't get that buzz anymore, even for derby games.

Football generally, and City, have become corporate & soulless.
And me
Last CL game I went to was the Real Madrid semi final and that's the only one I've been to since covid
I live in Northwich and everything about getting to the game now is a ball ache, parking especially, and the football doesn't make up for it
I've said this before. I'm certain that when the enlarged North stand is completed that my current season card seat will become a "premium padded seat" so I'll be priced out of East stand. I need a new knee, the operation will be in the next twelve months, so no idea if I can suspend my season card whilst I recover, but I m already of the mind to jack in being a regular because as PB summed up, it's become soulless and I really don't look forward to going. I'm just not excited. Perhaps the toil of my duff knee is affecting me mentally!
But everything about the modern game is shite.

Apart from Kippax Street itself, the only routes from the ground to Claremont Road, is either via Maine Road or Yew Tree Road. And you’re talking probably 50 yards at most.

You must be going back a very, very long time, or getting a bit mixed up here I think.
Lord Lyon was a Wilson’s pub corner of Victory St near my favourite pub The Gardners

No CL games for years now.

Still in the other cup schemes and do virtually all home first team games. Missed one so far after taking a chance we'd be away a couple of days before or after an international break (can't remember which) due to a holiday abroad pre fixtures coming out.

It's more of a chore these days, 90+ minute drive each way, long walk from parking, atmosphere a pale imitation of what it was, cheese etc

I'm intending seeing Pep & the new stand open but, as it stands from 1970 until then, that'll be it.

I'll likely pick up an odd game from here but driving in awful conditions whilst wet over winter at 61 isn't as appealing as it was, being out around 7 hours just for a game doesn't help either.

I'd suspect with our fanbase that there's loads thinking like me who are now 'of an age'.

With the way pricing is going, no doubt we'll also try and follow the rags with no concessions any fall off of success and there really will be blue seats on view.

I lost the buzz a couple of years back and binned the season ticket. I only live in Leve but couldn't be arsed with it. I was a bit bored with all of it. I have more fun in the Matchday Thread

No matter how good, bad or ugly we are on the pitch, one thing that never dissappears is the buzz of match day.

Can't wait. Come on City!
When I was in secondary school in the early sixties we saw some shite and vowed on Monday morning that we weren't goin' to the next match. Come the Friday, 'Are yer going?" "I think I might"! I've was well 'n truly pissed off after the Haringey fixture and then the quarter hour shit show on Tuesday, following a fuckin' car nightmare getting into Green Car Park, but I'll be up for it on Wednesday. I'm gonna into purdah from Saturday tea time until Wednesday breakfast next week.
